This flashlight is cheap and small so I didn't expect it to work well. I used it outside on dog pee to see how it would fluoresce, it didn't glow at all! Inside I was even less lucky. I sensed something but couldn't find it. I put it back in the box to return as I figured I'd give it another try inside. In the middle of the night in complete darkness the light came on and I found a spot on the curtain that I never thought a dog could reach. In total darkness I could see much better and noticed that a lot of things fluoresced (old spills and stains) but the pattern of the urine spatter was clear. This light does not work well on partially removed stains or urine that is still wet. In summary, I found the elusive place I was looking for, but it took several days and a bit of frustration. Given the choice, I probably wouldn't buy this product again, but since it really works I have no intention of returning it. I hope I won't need it in the future, but with dogs. You will never know!
