**Update** Downgraded to one star because it doesn't work! After using this switch in my blender for a few weeks I removed it and sent it back. Once installed, the machine found it difficult to blend a range of products as it would not "pull" the products to the blending blades. After speaking to Vitamix, they said this was caused by two things: dull blades or not enough blade speed. Since I didn't have this problem before the change, I knew it wasn't the blades. It looks like this switch doesn't have enough speed control. I removed that switch and reinstalled my original one and BAM! The car works fine again (although the cruise control still twitches). Verdict: A non-OEM switch inferior to the original. I would not recommend this based on my experience. First review: The description seems very misleading. One line says "Part approved for use by original equipment manufacturer," then lines below it say "Genuine OEM part," then "OEM parts are best for safety and reliability." Decode it as best you can! However, this part (white switch) is much lighter than the original (black switch) that came out of my car. This doesn't automatically mean it's of lower quality, but definitely not the same build quality. Even the lock nut is light. The part numbers on the two switches are different (sometimes this is normal as the parts replace the next option), they are slightly larger and have a completely different design. and seems to run smooth, unlike my worn original. I'll give this time time and update my rating if it holds up (or not).
