I bought this toaster as a DIY project. I really wanted a copper toaster but the only ones I could find were very expensive. I liked the vintage shape of it and the price was right so I bought it with the intention of painting it. The toaster looks great after it was painted the color I wanted, but the original color was pretty good too, just not right for my kitchen. If anyone is interested in my DIY, I used copper spray paint and then clear engine sealant so it can withstand high temperatures. The toaster works well and I particularly like the baking grid. Attachment that comes with the kit to warm up my croissants.
