A new approach for me to attach a smartphone holder to the dashboard. This is very smart as it doesn't leave a mark on your window or dashboard like suction cup mounts do. So that's a big plus for mounting the holder by inserting the plastic tabs into your car's CD player slot. You secure it, ie firmly in the CD slot, by turning the plastic lag screw clockwise. The holder fits smartphones with a width of 1.9 to 3.7 inches, so a plus-size Apple iPhone fits perfectly. Putting your phone in the holder is as easy as taking it out. Once you've placed your phone in the stand, simply squeeze the sides together until your smartphone is snug. To release the phone, simply press the button on the back and the sides slide out, allowing you to easily pick up the phone. I really like this method and it's almost standard for all these holders. Made from durable plastic, this holder also features silicone pads on the stand and CD mounting tabs to protect your smartphone and prevent the CD slot from being scratched. I originally installed a Crazefoto car phone mount on my 2018 Subaru Outback to hang down. about my car's rear view camera and stereo screen and decided it wasn't for me as I relied on being able to see that screen. Then I realized that since the stand is on a sphere that rotates 360º, I can rotate it so that the stand is above the screen. This mount is now my favorite smartphone car mount!
