My family and I have been using the trunk for several holidays. In the past we've used the plastic to wrap a double mattress and then straps to hold it together. Luckily we have never experienced heavy rain on our travels. My luggage rack is 60 x 24 cm. So when I was looking for a new holdall, I wanted it to fit the entire luggage rack. 20cu. Feet were more than enough for our family of 6 plus 1 person. This is a big deal! It fits in my golf club and shoe bag. 5 suitcases, 2 sports bags, water box, bag and 4 life jackets. I had 25% space left. The straps fit perfectly and hold up very well. I prefer them to the clips that some other bags provide. In general, the design is first class. It rained heavily all day. the water just pooled and ran away.
