I don't like the descriptions they use so I'll give them to you.

These are typical electronic file bits made in China. I have used bits from this company before and have never had any problems. I don't like the descriptions they use, so I'll give you mine (I'm also a licensed manicurist since 1993): 1. Cleaning Brush - Good for removing dust after you're done filing and before you apply a layer or Spot 2. Carbide (medium)---plain carbide with medium grit. Use for loose material removal, finishing, polish removal and general finishing.3. The needle is a (thin) incision for the cuticle. You have to be careful around the cuticle with this piece, but that's what it's designed for. Pink ceramic (fine) - same as carbide, only ceramic; Use it for loose material removal, finishing, polish removal and general finishing.5. Ceramic cone (medium). Use it for loose material removal, finishing, polish removal and general finishing.6. Conical Ceramic - (Coarse) - Use it to remove loose materials and remove products.7. Smooth Tip, Carbide (Thin) - Commonly referred to as a "safe" tip. Use it in the same way as above but much safer than the others. (Colors matter too. Green is rough, blue is medium, and red is good.) You can basically use any of the bits for whatever you need, it's just a matter of skill and comfort zone. Can be used on acrylic and gel. However, if you are using polygel I would recommend either pink ceramic or a smooth surface at low speed. Hope that helps!
