Let me start by saying that I bought these to use in BreakoutEDU game boxes. As a lock I'm sure it will work for most locking purposes. But for teachers who need to use specific words, the number of letter options is small. There's really no way you can make a word out of "double ee" or "ea" or words with two vowels unless it's "double O" and you're using zero. As I said, I bought these to use on the Breakout EDU boxes and now I have to repeat all the instructions because I can't use the words I should. As for the lock itself, it works. It's metal (the letters are plastic and can be easily removed, revealing the way to open the lock. I wish I'd waited to check the letters, now it's too late to return them. They are still cheaper than the official breakouts.
