Key lock is made of zinc plated solid steel for maximum strength, reliability and corrosion resistance, hidden shackle design eliminates shackle exposure and protects against bolt cutter attacks. Five-pin cylinder provides maximum pick resistance while key retaining safeguard ensures padlock is not left unlocked. Hasp Length is 9-1/16 in. (23 cm), Lock body diameter is 2-7/8 in. (73 mm), 3/8 in. carriage bolts recommended for installation (bolts not included). Includes one padlock and hasp, two keys.

Very reliable and easy to install

I bought several sets. I installed one on a metal vault and it works great. I also installed one on a shipping container. You are very safe.

Big. Necessary screws and nuts are missing. To stay updated.

Great thing. The kit does not include nuts and bolts, so this is a minus. After purchasing the extra nuts and bolts needed, installation was easy. Very sure.

Must be stainless steel

Mild steel. I overtightened the stainless steel carriage screws and ripped off the square cutouts and turned them into circles. So my lock bolts are loose and now I have rust streaks from the main lock grate.

Bad cover, rusts.

When delivered the paint was chipped off where the lock was attached to the brackets. Wiped off the substandard plating and exposed the metal. I'd definitely like to top it with a weatherproof varnish/clear coat to extend the life, but overall not a big deal.

I was surprised at how thick this product was. Both locks had the same key which was great. Master quality locks. Painted everything except the lock. Looks great. Hopefully they'll keep sticky fingers in the neighborhood.

Great lock!: Padlocks and Deadbolts

This is a great lock for our use in a storage shed brought to our property where we do not currently reside. We needed an extra lock to prevent anyone thinking of breaking into our shed when we weren't there. We installed this lock using quality button head screws, lock washers and nylon nuts. We felt MUCH better because our shed was safe while we were gone!

As strong as keyed padlocks get

I have a friend who is a locksmith. After my tools were stolen, I asked him to recommend a lock that would cause the most problems for thieves. This is the product he suggested so I bought it. It's really thick and heavy. This locking system is an amazing deterrent. It's a bit pricey but I didn't mind paying for a padlock. It's small compared to what I lost to the theft and the long struggle with police reports and my insurance agency trying to recover my losses.

Fort Knox Castle at Wal-Mart price!

At the locksmith's suggestion, the storeroom's original floor lock was replaced with this lock. PERFECT. The two wooden vaults can change shape and position over time and this castle copes well with that. Unless the thief brings in some serious welding machine or dismantles a door he can't get in through!
