Only lights up when the lid is closed. It does not work when opened. I have to open it, then close it (it works as long as the lid is closed) and quickly open it again for it to glow. A little disappointed. I just opened it up so I'll charge it fully and see if it makes a difference and edit my review accordingly (about a quarter of the battery out of the box, I don't think you can see it in the video) Fully charged and thats the way it is. It still works but I can't leave it to anyone else or they're going out of their way to lighten it up. I have to explain the shaky way to make it work. Open, close, open quickly, easily.
