You get what you pay for. and it's the best you can get! This product is better than any other I have tried on the market. It fits snugly and holds my heavy 1970's Swedish magnifying glass with ease. I've tried cheap plastic substitutes and they just didn't work for such a well made, durable magnifying lamp. The right clamp for the right lamp ensures a secure hold. The tight fit ensures that the lamp and clip will never come loose again. Ideal for 1/2 inch. That tight fit can strip paint and it takes a drop of oil to get it all the way in, but it's a small adjustment to ensure your bulb and clip never come loose again. This clamp is better than the factory.
