Okay, this may sound silly, but I bought a lampshade to protect an external low-voltage transformer for landscape lighting. The transformer was installed under the spot where rainwater flows from the roof of the house. Moving the transformer is not an option. The rain hood fits perfectly and not only protects the transformer but also helps hide it from a plain black box. With a bit of skill I attached a photo light sensor to the side of the lampshade. I dyed the shade to match the color of the house. He also survived Hurricane Irma here in southwest Florida. It is very durable and well constructed. I am very happy that I found something that suits my needs.
