If you are not familiar with .

tools, then this set may not be for you. First of all, I LOVE this shelf. I always use it. But one after anonther. I previously installed a rear seat back. So if you are wondering if the kit will fit if you have this mod then the answer is yes. I also have the Safari Straps cargo mesh and it still fits well. On mine I have to lower the seats to fold the trunk upright. There is some leeway for customization to make it work to install it this way. This part might seem difficult for some but not for others. I'm planning to make my own modifications to the mounting brackets so later I'll have more freedom to fold the trunk without folding the rear seat first. It also leaves marks on the back of the back seat. Again, this only applies if you have the rear seat recline kit installed. Now for the bad part. I saw reviews about the fastening system and they were not mistaken. After installing the rack, after a few times, the latch did not work. The set screws holding the latch in place broke after a few times. The solution I did was to remove the set screw and drill small holes for the set screws to go in and then insert self tapping screws or a nut and bolt. It works fine now, but that's what I mean by tools. In one review, it was noted that the hex bolts were very small. They weren't kidding. If you have it handy, you can do it. If not, you'll probably just return it. Hope that helps. Would love to give 5 stars but for your money and the quality of the locking system. it just won't happen. But I still love this rack and would recommend it because it helps with loading groceries, camping gear or whatever with dead space.
