Review on 🧀 Men's Mountain Hardwear Exposure Gore-Tex Gloves - Essential Accessories for Outdoor Adventures by Brandon Bugg

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Generally excellent, warmed up to zero. A problem and a solution

Solution first - Revain's description says 100% nylon, but the outer skin is actually Pittards goatskin, which will last forever. Also a concern - for so many years I was impressed with Gore-Tex, but then all the news came out about PFAS chemicals, which means chemicals forever. Almost all Gore-Tex have permanent chemicals in them, I'm not sure what the test is or how to find out what potentially dangerous chemicals are in here. I contacted the brand for more information. That concern aside, these are really top notch gloves. However, if you are looking for the warmest gloves, you should consider one of these three options: - Mountain Hardwear. Absolute Zero Gore-tex Down Mittems-Marmot 8000 Meter Mitten-Alti Mitts by Outdoor Research These gloves are certainly good in freezing temperatures, but if you're going to climb somewhere or need the warmest gloves possible, you need a mitten. with down insulation (it has synthetic insulation), so try one of these three options. However, these Mountain Hardware Adult Exposure 2s are pretty impressive. As I said before, the skin is durable. Straps and clips are thought out down to the smallest detail. I like her style very much. They're water-resistant, have decent dexterity, and a good grip, but they don't have a touchscreen. The sizes are a bit tight. If you're between sizes, you can round up. If you wear undergloves, they should be fairly thin or oversized. I'm still worried about the perpetual chemicals, but other than that I'm very happy with it.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Sad packaging
