I bought this particular case because I needed protection for my new MacBook Air M1 when using the elongated adapter. This is the only case I've found that didn't line up the entire side of the case, leaving room for an attached adapter. The case fits like a glove. I didn't find it too difficult to get hold of it the first time, but I had to replace and remove the laptop to install it on a newer computer. The order of fastening the case starts from the bottom, and then the upper plastic tabs are fastened. I haven't had any issues with the plastic tabs as others have complained of them tearing. I haven't used this product for a month so we'll see how it holds up over the long term. I would have given 5 stars but I recently encountered an issue with the diagonal ribs on the sides of the mouse pad. They leave fingerprints on my screen when the computer is closed. A thorough rub with a microfiber cloth removes the stains, but I ended up removing the case because of it. I wouldn't recommend keeping it tightly closed with a secure lid for long periods of time. And definitely don't put a book or anything like that on top of the laptop while the case is on, as the screen seemed dented when rubbed through those diagonal tabs with a microfiber cloth.
