My wife and I were looking for something to circulate the air in our theater room. I wanted something that was in a relatively small form factor and not too loud to ensure our audio/video experience was as enjoyable as possible. Air purifiers seem to be very popular lately, so I was intrigued when I saw this device available on Vine. Overall, this is a good device that is ideal for our purposes. I don't know what to do with the "real-time air quality" readings - it seems like more of a gimmick than anything - but everything works as it should and the device performs better than I expected. THE GOOD: - Overall this device looks good and seems to be built pretty well. It's lightweight but doesn't feel very cheap. The buttons are touch sensitive - it would be nice if they had some sort of LED backlight as they're pretty hard to see/touch in the dark - but they work well. I have no idea if the "Real Time Air Quality" readings are accurate, but the display shows some sort of "reading" as described by the seller. I don't notice any obvious difference in how I perceive "air quality" no matter what the "live display" says. Installation is easy: plug in, open the filter and you're good to go. walk. The side panel holding the filter is easily removed from the unit and snaps securely into place. This is mentioned in many places, but don't forget to unroll the included filter before use! You might think the device is ready to use as the filter is already installed but is packaged in a plastic bag that needs to be removed first. Problem with the air circulation in our theater hall. The power outlet is at the very top of the unit - keep that in mind if you're looking for something different. The supplied manual is well written and the device is quite easy to use. The fan speed can be set manually or automatically according to the device's "real-time air quality" readings. There's also a sleep timer if you want to go that route. The display clearly shows which mode is being used. MEH: - I have no idea what to do with the air quality measurement feature. I didn't care, so I don't care if it works or not, but I find it very hard to believe that these readings are in any way accurate. Personally, I don't really believe the readings the device is giving. THE BAD: - This device can be VERY noisy, especially if you intend to use it in a small space. There are 4 different fan speeds that you can use manually and only the 2 slowest speeds are good for working while watching a movie and the fan noise isn't too annoying. Level 3 is clearly audible, while level 4 is simply louder. On the plus side, if you're looking for white noise, you'll be happy with this device. Just don't expect this thing to run at full power without making any significant noise. Overall, my wife and I are very impressed with this device. Any type of fan would probably have been fine for our use, but the small form factor this air purifier packs and the rather incredible ability to circulate a large volume, albeit with some significant noise at top speed, was a huge plus. For us. This is our first air purifier so I don't have a comparison but the price seems reasonable compared to other units available at Revain. Will I pay $250+ for this block? No, probably not, but the "clean" function wasn't important to me, so I could have bought a much cheaper fan to do the job if I'd looked hard enough. However, if you need something that doesn't take up too much space, this device seems to work well. Definitely recommended if you're willing to spend big.
