First of all, my package arrived completely open. I was very concerned when I picked up the box and my pliers just slipped out of one end. Luckily all three were still inside so no damage was done. We strongly recommend that you check with the carrier how they transport and store the packages (I didn't see who delivered them). Otherwise they work fine. Free from rust and pitting as mentioned in other reviews. They were covered in some kind of paint that burned up pretty quickly in the forge and gave off a foul smell, so I recommend burning this stuff outdoors before using it indoors. They were fine with comfort and held my steel perfectly with no issues. This may change over time, so I'll update the information in a few weeks. In terms of weight, they are definitely better than iron tongs, which are a little less than twice the weight. Considering the price, I expected a little more from them. They are small, limited in scope and met my expectations. I personally think that in the long run you'll be better off spending $50 each to buy a pair of pliers. Newbies like me will help you get started.
