Very cute and helps hide my laundry clutter

This little wooden crate is very cute and perfect for drying cloths. It works like a tissue lid but is designed for fabric softener towels. You can let the sheets dry in their boxes and place a whole box of sheets in a wooden box to dry (a 105-count Snuggle box is ideal, but you'll need to cut or tear the flap off the box). Or, if your dryer box doesn't fit, you can take the dryer sheets out of the box and place them straight into the wooden box. In any case, it works fine. The bottom of the box slides and removes easily to store the dryer sheets inside, but the bottom stays securely in place when you put it back on. In other words, it doesn't fly away every time you pick up the box. Oval hole at top to pull out sheets one at a time. The wooden box is whitewashed with lots of wood showing through, giving it a rustic look. I'm considering applying another thin coat or two of whitewash (highly diluted matte white acrylic craft paint) that's light enough to still show the grain of the wood, but only toning down the brown a bit. It just goes better with my personal decor. Haven't done it yet, but it should be quick and easy and work well as the current whitewash is matte and sanded, which is a good texture to paint on-the-fly. A small modification I've already made is to lightly sand the inside of the oval hole where the wood was a bit rough. There was nothing wrong with that - I used a nail file to sand it down and it literally took about 30 seconds. I'm not a fan of the "dry leaves" label on one side; I'm just tired of the tendency to label or write cute sayings on seemingly every decorative item for sale. All the labels and words are unnecessary (I know there are dryer sheets in there!) and it adds visual clutter. That's just my pet peeve; True vintage signs are cool, but this trend of putting words on everything is overkill in my opinion and I'm sick of it. Magic, all I have to do is turn the side with the writing on the wall and the words disappear from view. Easy to fix. Overall, I really like this little box. It really helps clean up the mess in my laundry room. I could store clothes to dry in the closet above the washer and dryer, but I'm small and it's difficult for me to reach the closet. I've always had an ugly box because of this, but using this dispenser box solves the problem. It's rustic, charming, and a huge improvement over the ugly cardboard box. I love it!
