Potentially great but loud headphone jack noise

This was very interesting to try as it is the only amp with these features and functions in this price range. The first impression was good: well-made to the touch, good weight of the device and a large volume control. Decent ports on the back. At first glance, it sounded fine through my speakers, but I was surprised to hear a painfully loud pop through the headphones when I first plugged them in via the 1/4-inch jack. I'm used to regular gossip and stuff like that, but it was really bad. I figured I might work around the issue by turning the device off before plugging in the headphones, but when I turned it back on I got the same crackling sound. The crackling was loud and sharp enough, I was afraid of damaging the headphones. I liked them so much I reluctantly returned them and tried others hoping they were faulty but had the same issues. So I sent the second one back. If you never plan on using the 1/4 inch headphone jack, this might work for you. For me it was a non-starter.

Cons
