Exactly what I was looking for. When I travel to hotels they always have bigger lamps and smaller reading lamps. I like it and I've been looking for it. What I like about it: 1 - Hard wiring. I didn't want a dangling cord 2 - separate switches for main and reading light 3 - the reading light feels good in the hand 4 - black. It was very difficult to find the black light. This one looks so smooth and beautiful. The only negative is that I wish the reading arm was longer. It's definitely shorter than most I've used in hotels, but it's still functional, so I'm fine with that.
