Since I'm the old fart, more hair falls out with every wash. I picked up a black-tipped Kent comb with white bristles and quickly noticed that my gray hair was leaving the ship with ease (pun intended). I searched and found this thing and went after it. It removes hair and dander very well, but not without serious effort. And it didn't soften with harder and more vigorous use than is probably necessary. It does what it was designed to do and is a great replacement for the old fine-toothed comb that I set aside for the task. The grip changes everything in the world.
