I have several Dremel brand rotary tools but need something battery powered when working on small projects at my desk or cleaning up 3D prints. This is fully consistent with this account. I say pathetically underpowered because it takes very little pressure to lock it (which it detects and releases so it doesn't damage the motor), so far I've seen this most often when drilling small holes. Or in my case reaming already printed holes in my models. But put on one of the petal discs and it's off to town to clean up detail that would normally require a lot more hand sanding. While I haven't used it with a cut-off wheel yet, I bet it will work just as well as drilling. Strong lateral pressure and it will get stuck leaving a long slow cut. This is a tool where you should let the bit do the work, not the pressure. Overall it does its job perfectly and I would buy it again but don't expect it to compete with a clogged rotary tool.
