The material didn't stretch but was silky throughout except for the navy which felt like a stiffer cotton material. I ordered an XL for my 13 lb cat after reading reviews and looking at other people's photos but only 2 shirts actually fit him. The pink shirt looked ready to burst at the seams and the navy shirt was even thinner so I didn't even try it on him. The white shirt fitted him and was almost as roomy as the burgundy shirt, which fitted him perfectly. Can't quite complain as two cute slim fit shirts were still a steal for the price I paid but if they were all the same size I wouldn't feel like the little ones are just going to waste, unless I find a smaller animal to give them.
