Does not fit in the curved vanity hole of the 70s. However, you can remove the old metal spring clip from your old socket, cut the side plastic tabs from the new socket to make room, and then use the existing screw on the new socket to attach the old clip. This will work fine. Leviton's design looks great. Contact only on one side of the pin. Should be fine as long as there is voltage on the pin generated by the terminal. $10 seems a bit high for this part, but I looked around and couldn't find anything better with the wires attached. Our old sockets (manufacturer unknown) failed due to the loss of the spring on the terminal, resulting in loose contact and overheating.
