I took a long time to look at this treadmill and on the eve of the holidays (July 4th) realized it would be perfect for celebrating our holidays. It comes rolled up. and lies down on the table as soon as it is opened. This tells you right away that this is a thick material, you don't have to put anything on it to hold it. The back is also grippy so it stays where you put it, you don't have to worry about it slipping off when you put hot pots or pans on it. We currently use it at our bar counter and it's a great place to make cocktails. If I spill something I can just wipe it clean or hand wash everything in the sink so it doesn't make a big mess. During the picnic this is the central table where all our meals, food and drinks are kept. The star design is great for July 4th celebrations, as well as winter holidays and New Year. Its size is great too - looks like it could even be shortened if you want to create smaller runners for other areas of your home. A house. For a table (or bar) rail, this is already the perfect size. I tested it in a hot pan after cooking the pasta and it didn't burn the material and my table stayed nice and cool with no stains. Highly recommended!
