I can't quite explain what a stained glass artist would say but as a mixed media artist this was a great purchase. I have the flexibility to let my imagination take any shape using glass rods, wood, copper tubing and dowel rods. Speaking of fantasy, I can't predict that any of these parts will prove useless. But even here there is room for modifications. Randomness is power. If very specific project requirements are required, this is not for your project.
