Review on 🌞 3M Anti-Glare Filter for 15.6" Widescreen Laptop: AG156W9B – Reduce Glare for Crystal Clear Display! by Corey Owens

Mediocre Quality: Notebook Accessory

I need a matte screen finish for my glossy laptop (why do they have glossy screens?) This laptop is not glare-readable in any light. I needed a matte/anti-reflective finish. This product is the least technically able to achieve this. The touchscreen is still just as functional and the glare is gone. But there are numerous complaints about it: a) The instructions are written in 15+ languages on onion skin paper. The actual English guide I needed was about 6 lines of incomplete sentences, missing some important details. Telling me to watch your video is not the solution. b) It does not stick to the screen like other screen protectors. It uses a system of "as if" transparent stripes along the edge. The problem is, if you don't apply the strips *perfectly*, they won't lie perfectly flat and you won't be able to pull them back out. This means they are translucent from all four sides and now have an annoying backlight. This product actually meets the minimum requirements at most. This will give you an anti-reflective coating, but you will feel cheated. I don't blame the carrier/supplier for this, but I do hold 3M directly responsible for poor quality design.

Pros
  • Protects the screen from scratches.
Cons
  • Expensive
