Review on Cryorig H7 Tower CPU Cooler by Jason Pruett

Revainrating 5 out of 5

If you can install it, this is the best cooler in this price range.

I have used this cooler on my 4670k and 8700k. I can say that this is a very nice looking radiator and that its heat output is top notch for its price range. Even if you neglect your PC for a while, which you shouldn't, it can still provide phenomenal cooling compared to standard or cheap aftermarket heatsinks. The fan is solid, runs mostly silently, and does a great job of providing airflow. That being said, I think this is one of the most difficult coolers to install. When I grew the X-Bar into 1151 mode, I felt like I was about to break the clamp. Once installed I had a hard time holding the heatsink in place by tightening the screws on the back. I would like them to go for a design where the heatsink is attached to the processor with screws on the front of the MoBo like many air and water cooled devices. Aside from those two points, it's easy and requires a few steps to install. At least it's not as difficult to install as the Hyper Evo 212 or certain other heatsinks. For the money, the Cryorig H7 is a great air cooler for those who don't want to spend more than $50. Just don't expect overclocking on most i7 processors.
