Very easy to install!

It does what it's supposed to. Fits i7-8700k on an Asus Mini-ITX in a Thermaltake Core V1 Cube (very small gap, mind you). I was looking for the easiest cooler to install after my previous cooler proved too intimidating for me to proceed with the installation (although I'm sure it must have been missing some components that made it compatible with the Intel chipset). running), and while there have been some decent rivals, that fits the bill. I was still a little scared after trying the previous

If you can install it, this is the best cooler in this price range.

I have used this cooler on my 4670k and 8700k. I can say that this is a very nice looking radiator and that its heat output is top notch for its price range. Even if you neglect your PC for a while, which you shouldn't, it can still provide phenomenal cooling compared to standard or cheap aftermarket heatsinks. The fan is solid, runs mostly silently, and does a great job of providing airflow. That being said, I think this is one of the most difficult coolers to install. When I grew the X-Bar…

Great cooler, you don't need more!

This CPU cooler is amazing! I got it with my new i7-8700k processor. I regularly boost this CPU to 95100% during Handbrake video conversion, which boosts all 6 cores to 4.3GHz turbo (I don't overclock). This cooler never lets the CPU go above 63°C, which is fantastic for maximum CPU utilization. Some forum members will tell you that you need an $80,100 cooler, but you probably don't need it unless you're into mass overclocking. This $35 cooler is also nearly silent, even when the CPU is at full

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Poorly thought out construction

Keeps the processor very cold! fits very well and very quiet.

Very happy with this cooler. Originally I was going to go with the classic Cooler Master Hyper 212 evo BUT I heard it barely fits the Thermaltake v21 and I put extra fans in it so I wanted to try something faster. I've heard that these coolers are a bit smaller but keep the CPU just as cool, so I decided to give it a try. Exporting a video I uploaded to YouTube in 1080p60. Replaced it with this cooler and tried to export the video and it stayed between 60 and 70 with a resting temperature of…

The best combination of performance and aesthetics for its price

Performance: I was able to overclock my i5-7600k to 5.0GHz at 1.35V. This cooler keeps temperatures just under 80 under load. It does this with heavily adjusted fan curves to prioritize sound over performance. I assume the temperatures would be lower if I went off the default fan curve. Aesthetics: It's great, to be honest. It's such a step up from anything else at this price point in this department. The aesthetics alone are worth the extra $10 over the Hyper 212 Evo (not to mention the…

Great cooling tower, I would buy again.

H7 installed on Asus Z370P motherboard with Intel I5 8600K processor in Phanteks Eclipse series P400 tower. Installation was easy, the bracket and screws match the motherboard perfectly. Once the screws are in place, place the plastic standoffs over the screws on the top of the motherboard. You push/lock the plastic tab on the screw that holds the screw and bracket in place. Now apply a pea-sized thermal compound to the CPU (included with the H7), install the H7 onto the CPU and only gently…

  • Not sure

So I'm a bit of an amateur when it comes to installing and replacing hardware on my desktop computer. I usually have to watch a video or videos to understand how to do it. To save someone else like me the trouble I went through, here are some tips: 1. The current backplate on your desktop needs to come out completely for the X-Bar plate to fit. It should fit perfectly. However, for a while I couldn't figure out why that doesn't fit. 2. The X-bar is great for any screw holder template on your…

Good cooling but fiddly to install

I took this cooler and used it in my new gaming build and it seems to cool very well but there are a few major issues. Firstly, the installation is simple but very difficult. I recommend removing the heatsink fan first so you can see the bracket better when lining up the screw holes. Many coolers these days have a much simpler assembly process, and it's a shame this H7 isn't one of them. It fits nicely in my case (Fractal Meshify C) and has enough room to easily install memory later - my MB is…

What happened to the price?

This is a great cooler for the $35 I bought it for a few years ago. now 100? I was looking to buy another one to upgrade my second computer but was very surprised that the price had gone up so much. I don't think it's worth that much and would just get another cooler. I think Noctua is better to buy now. 5 stars for the price I got.

Decent cooler for your money. Watch out for price fluctuations.

I wouldn't pay more than $45, there are better options for that price. If you don't need a cooler with a lower profile height, this option is a good choice. I used it in a microATX case with an R5 3600x processor. It's great for small cases. Effortlessly cleans RAM slots and VRM heatsinks. There are no instructions in the box so you'll have to go to the website. If you've built systems before, it's not that hard to figure it out by looking. It was immediately compatible with socket AM4. You…
