When I saw this product I immediately liked it. USB and USB Micro in one device are perfect for smartphones, tablets and laptops/PCs, right? And at the low price of the second one, I would give my father-in-law another one. I don't know if he was as lucky as I was, but this thing was more of a headache than a help. My usual test is to put some easily swappable music and video files on a new flash drive and then watch/listen to them on a smart TV. It was working fine, so I deleted those files and put other files on top. As soon as I deleted the test files, the hard drive disappeared. I look it's still physically connected but my box doesn't see it. Try disconnecting and reconnecting. Nothing. Try another port, it appears until I click on it, it disappears again. Now I'm starting to get angry. Try plugging it into a USB 2.0 port. The computer asks if I want to format the flash drive. I choose no and try to look at the properties. He disappears again. Will not register on any box in the house OR on my cell phone. I smell the hammer of a two pound machinist in the future. My first complete rejection of SanDisk in 15 years.
