They do what they were designed to do
These adapters are only suitable for 120V circuits, DO NOT use them on 277V circuits as they will become obsolete and unusable anyway. They are inexpensive and can be quickly upgraded to A19 LED bulbs. Parts, not electronics, nothing about them can go wrong, just don't wire them wrong and you'll be fine.
