Do what I say, not what I do! This thing comes with a very good plexiglass drilling jig. it even has the words "Drill Templage" engraved on it. I took out the drilling jig, placed it on the tank and started drilling. When I was done I grabbed the overflow to see if it would fit. I quickly realized that I clearly had the template the wrong way round! The fact that the words "drilling template" were correctly reversed does not mean that the template was correctly reversed. Obviously the wording in my template had to be backwards. So now I'm sitting on a tank with two holes that really need to be flipped. However, I found a way to get it working. I make both holes the same size, take a good drilling template and attach it to the back of the tank with silicone. Let's see how it works. And since I haven't had a chance to use it yet, I don't know how well the overflow block will work, but for now I think it will do exactly what I want! Just learn from my mistake and double check that you positioned the template correctly. Don't just trust the wording. Actually take the overflow block and make sure it's lined up correctly.
