Review on Wellness Complete Health Natural Dry Small Breed Puppy Food with Turkey, Salmon & Oatmeal by Agustin Conner

My 16 week old Havana puppy has been with Royal Canin Small Puppy since the breeder started him. I was shocked to read that the main protein ingredient is poultry by-products, which are all the parts nobody wants (legs, beak, etc.) and I wanted to switch it to something higher rated that had real meat in it. Wellness for small breed puppies seemed to fit the bill. It did not work. She doesn't tell me what she thinks about the taste (?!) but happily ate 4 or 5 pieces and then stopped. She just finds it difficult to eat. I tried to break the pieces in two with my hands but I couldn't. This kibble is larger and thicker than the Royal Canin Small Puppy (not even Extra Small). I just ordered a Wellness Core as the reviews say they are small triangles like Royal Canin. Hopefully I can get something with quality ingredients and a size that a smaller (5 lb) pup can handle.
