Bought these for my 3rd and 5th graders to paint their designs onto black t-shirts before coloring. They have served their purpose well. Writes easily on fabric, very noticeable. I needed more than 4 so I halved them and got 8, worked great. It's easy to sharpen on an electric sharpener, as long as you don't press too hard. Can be easily removed from the fabric by washing or wiping with a damp cloth, but instead of using a damp cloth to wipe if a mistake has been made, it has been found to be easily removed if you rub the area with a dry cloth or rub shirt against each other. . That way, the kids didn't have to wait for the shirt to dry before continuing. Much better than tailor's chalk because it's much easier to work with when you need to make more precise and detailed markings (or draw a pattern). A tip: if you are using this to draw a picture or something similar, place a piece of cardboard underneath it, this will help keep the fabric flat. For our shirts, we put pieces of cardboard (even a thin box) inside the shirt to make it easier to draw, it turned out great.
