Review on GE Retail Parts GERAN GXULQK Filter System by Dan Husband

I finally bought this kit after looking for a GE FQK1K replacement filter for my kitchen sink filter. This kit uses the same filter, and the cost of the whole installation kit is less than the cost of a single filter. I was completely satisfied with the original set. Installation was easy except for installing a switch. I had to fabricate a bracket to mount the switch under the counter as the one provided did not suit my needs. The included kit assumes you want to install the switch in an unused hole in the sink or by cutting a hole in the countertop. My kitchen sink didn't have an unused bilge (the hole is used for a hand soap dispenser) and I didn't want to cut a hole in my granite countertop. The filter system works well, but the volume flow when switching to filtered water is significantly lower than when switching to unfiltered water.
