Hooks break even at very low weight.
You get what you pay for. There was 20 pounds of weight on that hook. It was screwed into a wooden post and this light weight cut off the threaded part immediately. At first I thought it was just the wood that was broken, but it was actually a very poor quality hook. Please do not hang things near the car unless you want your concern. That's why I'm happy to wait to write reviews. I bought them a while ago hoping I'll have a project to use them on. I used them last week and this week is what is happening.
