I am new to using chemical free soap and this seems like the cleanest and easiest way to use soap nuts. I'm not the type of person who wants to mess around with making nuts to make my own soap and it only has 4 ingredients so this is definitely the purest liquid product out there. Cleaner: I've found that using 2 pumps as specified in my top loading HE washing machine washes most things quite well and I love that I can use them to wash things by hand during my period like washing panties about ruining them. However, it did NOT remove my mascara stains on my unbleached cotton face towels. Next time I'll try pre-treating clothes if I have makeup or oil stains (I've never had to pre-treat my makeup with a traditional soap like Tide). - 1 star. Packaging: This pump is TERRIBLE. You must first evacuate multiple pumps to prevent spillage when you first place the pump in the bottle. It also dripped all over the top of my washing machine. I didn't even know how, as the sides of the bottle were never sticky or had residue, but there was so much residue on top of my washing machine that I was able to wet my shirt, wipe, and scrub a whole bunch of laundry with it. This bottle took me a month and costs $18. I'm pretty sure the rush lasted way more than a month when I bought it - 1 star. I will buy another bottle because I really want to give it a fair shot. I don't mind my clothes being odor free as long as they don't have bad odors or wash stains. I use it in both hot and cold water and on all my clothes, bedding and even dog toys.
