Mine is made in Thailand. As for advice to take / not to take. I use it on trips, only, so it suits me, but there is one thing. It just so happens that I use it either at 24 (80%) or at 100-120 (15%), for the rest of the focal lengths about 5%. Therefore, it is probably worth considering 16-35/4 (reporter for narrow European streets). P. S. I chose m / y 24-70 / 2.8 and 24-120 / 4 for a long time, took pictures of both, but in fact, the difference is not noticeable, so is it worth overpaying 13000 for 24-70, see for yourself.
