I recently bought a betta fish and after a few weeks the tank was pretty dirty even though I had a filter and did 25% weekly water changes. Also, my fish didn't like chicken feed pellets, so it all sank to the bottom and started to appear fluffy in it. I cleaned the tank so quickly with this tool! Within 6 minutes I was able to empty my 5 gallon tank and vacuum particles out of the substrate without priming the substrate (although some were lost through the priming). I've removed my fish from the tank before so I'm not sure if it's safe to suck up the fish but it's quite strong so I recommend removing the fish as it can be more stressful than him only to be removed during cleaning.
