Exceeded my expectations!

Earlier this year, after moving into a new home, I needed to replace my entire HVAC system with a new, multi-zone, high-efficiency whole-house humidifier system. I like the new system but am disappointed that it doesn't provide usage history despite the expensive digital cloud thermostats built in. I looked around for something that could control its power consumption and only found scythe. After reading how Sense works, I decided that the machine learning approach to identification was too complex, time-consuming, and error-prone for my needs, and decided not to buy it. Fast forward six months to December. I received an electric bill that increased by $40 compared to the previous month. It didn't make any sense to me, so I decided to look into an electrical surveillance system again. This time I found Gen 2 Emporia Vue. It was exactly what I was looking for. I didn't need complex identification of power consumption of a specific device, I just wanted to control power consumption at the circuit level. Since most of the most important electrical consumers in the household, such. For example, the HVAC system, humidifier, stove, refrigerator, washer, dryer, etc. are connected to dedicated circuits, why do I need device-level identification? I ended up buying four of their smart sockets to keep track of our radon fan and freezer that aren't connected to dedicated circuits. The sockets work great. Installing all 16 sensors took less than an hour and except for one sensor, everything worked great right from the start. I contacted their live chat support and within 15 minutes they sent me a replacement for free! First. My wife didn't understand why we need something like this. She's on board now as soon as I explain the unexpected benefit. Our 15 year old son often bakes pizza in the oven at night and then forgets to turn off the oven. It burns all night. Vue will send him a notification if the oven has been on for more than 2 hours. The duration can be set. Oh yeah, the extra $40 came from the 400-watt ceramic reptile heaters I just used in my infrared grill to keep my propane tank warm during our cold Montana winters. After some experimentation, which I wouldn't have done without Vue, I've found that I don't need it and save $40 a month. I've also found that all the pendant lights in the house that use halogen bulbs also use a lot of electricity. They have been replaced by LEDs. As a result, the product, service and energy savings exceeded all my expectations!
