This helps minimize unwanted panning, let me explain.

So for me the only major downside of the single grip gimbal is the unwanted (sensitivity to) panning motion which the dual gimbal gimbal doesn't have. This little handle helps stabilize the pan and gives you a second point of support; one hand on the suspension, the other on the handle. Or maybe just your finger. Plus, the mini shaker still works on the Ronin S! -- with Ronin S with 5DM4 and no other accessories.
