I've had a lot of experience with Twelve South products in the past so this was the obvious choice when I was looking for a stand for my Surface Book, it's easy to set up but unfortunately, that's where the good news ends. The stand isn't symmetrical in relation to the base, so if you're even a bit picky about such things, it'll always look fun. I've also found that it tilts to one side or the other on most settings, making your screen look fuzzy - and worse, it feels wonky and unsteady except at the lowest settings. I guess a lot of people like me want to use a laptop next to a monitor and hope this helps them position it safely on the same plane. Unfortunately, HiRise just isn't designed for that, which I think is pretty unforgivable at $70 - look for a more secure solution from another vendor.
