I bought TWO of these and neither work! I have other sized yoyos and have never had a problem with them so I KNOW how to use them! When you place the cloth between the plastic discs, you should hear a click as it snaps into place. With a jumbo size, I was able to get a click or two, but as I circled the disc and tried to get another click, the first one slipped out of position. The major yo-yo maker's design differs from other sizes, and I suspect that's at least part of the problem. I then found that this item could not be returned or refunded - until I complained loudly - then I was able to get a refund.
