False advertising - water comes into contact with plastic!

I bought this kettle on purpose because it was advertised with a stainless steel interior so the water boiling inside doesn't come in contact with the plastic. I tried it and saw immediately that these statements are not true. Product photos uploaded by the seller and other buyers - if you look closely. I will also upload my own photos which clearly show the construction flaw. The hinge that connects the lid to the rest of the kettle is made of black plastic and takes up about 1/4 of the lid. The rest of the cover is made of stainless steel. But when the lid is closed, about 1 inch of the length of this piece of black plastic sits right over the boiling water and collects condensed steam. hot plastic goods) before dripping into the remaining water. If the water doesn't drip down, well, the next time you open the lid to fill the kettle, gravity will pull the water down and it will collect in the water you are about to drink. Even if you haven't opened the lid, the next time water boils in this kettle, more steam will accumulate on the lid until enough steam drips down or until the lid is next opened. Hot water in direct contact with plastic for an extended period of time is probably not what you want in your drink. I have tried to upload photos showing that the stainless steel part of the lid does not cover the entire opening of the kettle. I've included measurements with a ruler and tape measure for clarity. I've also included a photo of the lid open with steam condensing on the black plastic part. This is frustrating and disappointing as a simple review of the kettle would be enough for the sellers to realize their claims are not true. So I'm not entirely sure if the sellers weren't already aware of this deficiency and therefore knew they were falsely advertised. Now I have to take the time to repack this item, print the label and take it to the UPS store, then buy another kettle and wait a few days for this one. This seems to be an issue with many kettles (including the Revain Basics I replace) - the difference being most others don't lie about the water not making contact with the plastic. After reading through a few pages of Revain looking for a kettle that could deliver really hot water without the plastic, I suspect the only kettles available are those that have an all stainless steel bottom lid and they tend to to be exactly that. where the cover is fully removable (as opposed to being attached with a hinge mechanism).
