Great for cleaning bars
I have not used it to remove rust and can't tell what it is for, but as other connoisseurs have pointed out it does wonders for removing swarf from bars. It effortlessly cleaned 1k/6k grit King, 8k grit Shapton and 12k grit Naniwa. Maintaining an optimal grinding surface is particularly important for a straight razor, and that's what counts. Easy to use and very effective.
