For a good modern MoCA connection with a modern DOCSIS (3.1) cable you need at least 1700MHz on your splitters. Also, you should primarily use two-way splitters wherever possible. However, Spectrum tells me that the loss should be estimated at 3.5dB and the loss is accurately listed here as slightly higher. It may be higher than it should be, so next time I can choose a different splitter. The interference threshold is also only 80 dB, although I have seen higher values such as 130 dB. That being said, this splitter seems to have been carefully designed and I expect it to be used (after the modem) and perform well. However, I have heard many reports of splitters breaking after about 6 months. I think the ultimate test is to see how long the splitter lasts. If the divider lasts less than a year I will probably keep my rating below 5 stars. I'm hoping to find an improved Kelliyo product with better loss protection because it's a good brand to trust.
