The pump is absolutely silent, even when the water level is low, you can't hear it. This is actually a downside for me as I realized my water bowl needed water but I'm not deducting a star for that. It has three suction cups on the bottom to hold it in place and comes with about three feet of hoses, neither of which were mentioned at all, so that was a really nice plus. I bought it because it can be completely disassembled without tools, which is very necessary in a pet water bowl as it can get clogged with fur. So far I'm happy with this little pump. FYI, make sure you are using a USB adapter that says it will output 5VDC at 1 amp or 1000mA or higher. Reviews say this pump is weak and can't pump more than a few inches because they don't use a powerful enough USB adapter.
