My washing machine was knocking for quite a while, after some research and inspection I found that the dampers were just bad (they were actually removed, not anything). These fixed the noise. Looking at the front of the washer, the one on the right was a bear that needed replacing. To get there you need to remove the drain hose. I struggled to reattach the clip for an hour when I had to zip it up to keep it open enough to reattach. Once everything was in place, just cut the zip tie to loosen it and all was good.
