First, the hole on each end is not the same as the OEM you are replacing. The original pins came out easily by hand. You literally have to use HUGE pressure to push the pins back, even if you apply enough lube first. The originals had a split case that would give a bit, these are solid rings so don't give a smaller diameter at all.
