Review on Roxio Easy VHS DVD Plus by Dan Bobbert

A friend had a very positive experience with the Macintosh version and recommended it. I bought this product. please pass In the kit you get a hardware USB interface and 2 blanks. You will be redirected to the Roxio website to download the software. After two days of trying to install the software, all I've achieved is a waste of time. No software should require so much effort to install. After downloading 750MB the installer went a little further and said there was an error and exited. forgot support. I got standard replies like: 1) disable firewall and antivirus and 2) create a new user account with admin privileges (and go through the whole process again). The support agent insisted that I provide him with a license key. News Flash: There is no license key information included in this package. I had to take photos of the box and email them to support to prove I was the real buyer. (By the way, if no USB hardware is connected to the computer, the software will not start the installation process). In short: I have received a return authorization and it will be returned to Revain. And finally Corel tech support gave this as the final answer. Recommendation: return what you bought and purchase another package (possibly directly from them) using the software CD that came with it. Dual core processor (3 GHz) with 8 GB RAM and 1 TB HD.
