Review on Transform Your Patio With Amgo'S Super Ring Sun Shade Sail Canopy- Heavy-Duty, Customizable & Commercial Standard 8' X 12' Rectangular Shade Awning - 260 GSM Grey by John Faxon

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great shade sail, reinforced fabric + sturdy rings -- cool shade, lets water through.

I had previously ordered a large triangular shade sail from this brand, and the quality was excellent -- tough fabric, well-sewn and it was water-resistant, as my husband wanted. We also have several rectangular sails protecting our garden and they are the permeable type and are working out very well. I have a gorgeous giant elephant-ear plant growing in one corner of our yard. Every summer the heat and sun take a terrible toll on it, and every spring it bounces right back. This year, I wanted to put up a shade similar to the one over our garden so I ordered this one in the 8' X 12' size. Well, I guess I didn't really understand what I was getting, because this shade sail is really too much of a good thing for its intended use (sorry, plant -- I will find something less heavy-duty and suitable for temporary installation but still nice for you). This sail is very well made and suitable for a permanent installation, at least where we live (no real winter). It is thick and rugged and the super-rings at the corners are much heavier and more durable than the ordinary D-rings on many of our other sails. The sides of the sail are reinforced with wire cables. This shade sail is going up over an extension to our patio to provide more outdoor seating. This shade sail is pricey but is very well constructed and the fabric is thick and seems very resilient. I think it is worth the cost (it is necessary to purchase hardware for installation -- hardware kits are available, but not included).

Rating this product low in both quality and durability. It was damaged beyond repair by the first gust of wind that blew through my yard. Disappointed and frustrated that I''ve been unable to successfully contact the seller for return instructions.
